Your phone is likely just muted or you installed another theme that did delete your boot sound. However yes it will change other things and no it's not broken. Eventually the kitchen will allow you to custom build your own framework (it’s one file that controls multiple different things such as parts of the taskbar, lockscreen, notification menu, etc which is why when you change one, it changes another) but it’s not there yet. It is probably something I am doing wrong. I will try to find a blue theme for 1.1. That rom worked fine for all the lock screens for me.
