Lockscreens
Below are some lockscreens I have put together, all of them are clear to at least some degree.
Once installed, wallpapers can still be used, but they will hide any of these mods. If you are currently using a wallpaper, you will need to run the ‘remove cached lockscreen’ utility from flipz’s kitchen tool to see the new graphic after it’s installed.
Click on a screenshot below to download the lockscreen of your choice. If you would like to see a preview of the lockscreen in the kitchen then right click the image and save it to the same folder as the zip file.
All of these lockscreens are signed and can be installed with flipz’s kitchen tool or through RA.

If you are running a different ROM other than Fresh 1.x or have installed a lockscreen from somewhere else, you might have the old stock lockscreen files (grey bars). In order for the lockscreens above to work the best, you will need to install the Clear Lockscreen first (1st screenshot above).

Just right click on the image above and do “save as” and save it (without changing the name) to the same folder as where you have the zip.

I did have to rename the files. The files saved with “_zip.png” and I had to rename them with “.zip.png” instead. Great work. Especially like the second one. Thanks

Missed the underscore. For a bootscreen I added, renaming the file to what I previously had all of a sudden worked. Don’t understand that one.

With these lockscreens on fresh 1.1, do the notifications such as texts and alarm snooze etc.. still show up on the lockscreen? What does it look like?

They will show up at the bottom just like on a stock lock screen.

Not sure if this has been answered, im running fresh 1.1 and using the new kitchen to install these lockscreens.
I installed the new one in the middle, and its showing the android guy but hes hovering over the standard gray bar + clock thats normally on the lock screen and i cant figure out how to fix this.

That is caused by you flashing another theme that had the the stock bar rather than flashing these lock screens on top of a totally clear lock screen. Right now the easiest fix is to flash fresh 1.1 on top of itself (no data wipe needed) which will take you back to a clear lock, then you can apply this. But noj and i are working on releasing a theme that just takes you back to totally clear lock.

I tried to push one of the lock screens here. I downloaded and used the kitchen to push it. On reboot i got a weird mix of clear stock lock screen with the Smooth banner underneath. I actually like the look but wanted to inform you of the error. Ill try it again and report back.

If you had the stock semi-circle slider on your phone already then flashing one of these will not replace it. You need to make sure you have a totally clear lockscreen (which is what’s stock in 1.0 or 1.1) first.

Here is a signed pack that will install the base clear lockscreen for you, then you can use these locks. You can use flipz’s kitchen tool or RA to install it.

Noj. Applying the clearlock.zip works but it brings back the blue taskbar. Is there a signed pack that has the default taskbar and clear lock screen?

(copy/paste time!) Eventually the kitchen will allow you to custom build your own framework (it’s one file that controls multiple different things which is why when you change one, it changes another) but it’s not there yet.

If anyone else is running into the same problem I was you can de-fresh to get rid of the taskbar with blue icons, apply the clear lockscreen from mkeyslehman (download link is below), then apply any of Noj’s sweet lock screens.

sorry for the wait, I know you found a work around, but I built another version of the Clear Lockscreen using mostly all original icons (replaces all the blue ones) so now everyone has a choice

Anyone have a Guide or anything on how to build Lockscreens?? Looking to build themes as well, but it seems like all the information is so scattered. A file list or anything would help. I have been digging though APKs all night to try and find what was/has been edited and what hasn’t kind of a pain when someone already knows lol. Tried seraching and can find much either.

Any lock screen you flash will replace the last one. So you just need to flash whatever one you want instead.

I am really liking the Cowboys lockscreen. I tried to make my own but apparanlty I am not that good. I have tried to take the one with the clock on it but it wont let me. Let me know what I need to do to get that going

Hey, I changed the top notification bar to have the stock battery, signal, etc. icons and it changed my lockscreen to stock, too. I like your version more. How can I change it back?

Did you run my clear w/stock icons from above? It should have had clear lockscreen in it, then you can just add my lockscreen or whatever you had back. I’ll test it to see what all it changes again, but it should have left you with a clear lock unless you ad a wallpaper set for it.

I ran my ClearLock w/ Stock icons from above and it worked fine to restore all orig icons and clear screen, then all you have to do is apply your lockscreen again

-off topic-hey fellow townmate/ I saw a post on another forum and you have the following (Android 1.6 AOSP, all working but bluetooth. Includes Google Nav, lot’s of other goodies from Droid, Nexus and MotoBlur) saw it on android spin. Can you give me the link.. i would like to try it out.

I still cant get the last lockscreen to load. I tried both ways.. loading from RA/sd card and from the theme option. The little green guy shows up at the bottom, but my old stuff is still there. I am using a fresh 1.1 rom install and tried installing the first clean lockscreen as well. Tried the remove cached lockscreen option and still nothing.

Maybe you are confused on what it should be doing then. “The little green guy” is the lock screen. All that other stuff are icons on noj’s home screen.

was wondering if some one could make me a lockscreen. i really want this picture on my lockscreen. Im running rooted, with fresh 1.1 gumbo kernel already running a custom clear lock screen. tried to make my own replacement image and flashed it and it kept telling me invalid file or something. if needed i can donate a few i really want this lockscreen. slightly transparent if possible. thanks in advance. and if this is out of the question, maybe point me to a detailed guide on making lockscreens

Assuming you are using a rom that is supposed to have a clear lockscreen (like fresh 1.1) and yours still isn’t clear, then you just need to:
rm -r /data/misc/lockscreen
And that should set it back to clear.

I have a lock sceen problem. For some reason my lock screen will stop at some point in the day and the phone will stay unlocked. The only way I know it fix it is to restart the phone. Is there a program or bug or something that is making this happen?
