FAQ: How do I use AutoKiller?
AutoKiller is a great application from AndRS Studio That can be downloaded for free from the Android Market (and is included in Fresh Rom). It’s description is “AutoKiller fine tunes android’s inner memory manager to keep your device fast. Process manager included.” There is a lot of confusion as to what it actually does and how it works, so I wanted to do a quick write up.

FAQ: Tutorial and walk through of Fresh Kitchen
Fresh Kitchen 1.0.4 was sent out to all donators yesterday morning. If you donated and didn’t get it then please let me know by sending me your email address through the contact form above and I’ll get it out to you!
Before I released it I recorded a 20 minute video that serves as a both a preview for the kitchen, and a quick how to on using it. Check it out if you have any questions. 
I had to split it in to two parts because youtube limits submitted videos to 10 minutes.
How To: Flash a Radio Update
A radio update is flashed the same way that an update.zip is flashed, however the process goes a little different once you start it. I made a little walk through for everyone out there so that they feel more comfortable doing it. These screen shots are while using RA 1.6.2… in blue.
These instructions were made on the HTC Hero but works the same on other phones.
FAQ: Why You Shouldn’t Be Using a Task Killer with Android
456I see this come up over and over again. People saying that a task is running in the background and they think it is killing their battery or hogging all of their memory. So their natural reaction is to download a program made to kill tasks. Here’s the thing… you are likely doing more harm than good by killing tasks that aren’t ready to end. I was the same way when I first got my CDMA Hero. There were tons of things running that I didn’t want so I just kept killing them. After a few weeks I realized that if I stopped using a task killer (and totally uninstalled it in fact) my phone actually began to run better! The applications would close themselves and things just seemed to be running better. I get that there may be short term benefits from clearing a task, but you should still take the time to read through this.
FAQ: What Does Fresh ROM Change / Why Flash It?
I get asked this question a lot. What’s the difference between Fresh ROM and the stock image. I just took all the change logs and combined it in to one list. I didn’t necessarily go in to detail on what something meant, but you get the idea. If you don’t know what something does, it was probably something to speed it up. Ha.
